Pals for Paws is a non-profit organization committed to solving the dog and cat overpopulation in New Bern, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas. We are accomplishing this through education and a unique, low-cost spay/neuter program, "Prevent-A-Litter". Pals for Paws works today to prevent tomorrow’s unwanted litters from being born.
As of 2002, we have been making a difference for pets in Craven County and beyond.
Each year over 5,000 dogs/cats/puppies/kittens are euthanized by animal control. Most of these animals were healthy and adoptable. There are simply not enough homes for them. Our goal is to reduce the number of surplus animals by preventing unnecessary births.
